Snappity Snapshots ^_^

Jul 22, 2010 by

Hello! I am always quite hesitant to post snapshots like this because I’m never sure if it’s really boring for all of you or not XD

I keep taking huge amounts of photos because we’re actually going places and doing fun things so it seems like a shame to just let them sit in a folder somewhere!

These photos go all the way back to Brisbane ^_^

This is the cutest cake in the whole universe… Yay Breadtop! I think I need one of these for my next birthday!

Snapshots

This was all the way back when we had to clean our old townhouse before leaving. See having tall hair really doesn’t prevent me from vacuuming!

  1. The food looks so delicious
    and
the Cake is just great!!! :D

  2. I love seeing posts like these! You probably should do one like every Friday or Sunday? And just make it like “My week in photos” xD Or something like that :D !! Hahaha

I want to try making macarons! But they look so hard to get correct T-T !! But I will try one day ! I HAVE TO :D And whattttt? Easy way? There’s no way anything can be better than Bubble cup ? xD Although I don’t actually get much myself :| And the ones I do buy from is from “Happy Cup” … I get Love fruit ice blend with grape jelly – This is so yummmy !

    • Oh that’s an awesome idea Melody! I’m totally going to do that from now on :D Oh macarons can be very hard >_< The making part is really easy but you have to be really particular about the oven temperature, it's really hard! Easy Way is awesome, it's really sweet and milky tea, much stronger than Bubble Cup, less choice though. Yum!

  3. I don’t think I could possibly cut into that puppy cake!!!

EasyWay for the win, completely. Koko Black looks awesome… wish there was one in Sydney!

    • I couldn’t eat the puppy cake either! Yay Easyway! Oh you’ll have to take a trip up here and we’ll go to Koko Black one day! Mmmm

  4. I love this!! So many smiles and happy times <3 I should utilise my camera (aside from my iphone) to capture more of life's precious moments!

    • Yay I’m glad people enjoyed this ^_^ I am so bad with taking non-iphone photos but I have a new camera so expect much more :D

  5. So much delicious food i can feel the pounds gaining just looking at it XD

OMG that snake I would have screamed the house down and ran if i saw one by my window!

    • Oh I have so many yummy food photos to post! Mmmmm… Oh but the snake scared the hell out of me, what was worse was when James wanted to keep it *_*

  6. I love random picture posts! I collet them and do them every week or fortnight! It’s great just to see random snaps!

The bread James made looks delicious!

    • Yay! I’m glad you enjoyed this! I think I will do this every week ^_^ Omg the bread was soooo yummy. I can’t wait until he makes more!

  7. Looks like so much fun over there, wish I could visit Aus. So far, which place are you liking more? Melbourne or Brisbane? I’ll have to add Melbourne to my List of Places to Go.

Those hot chocolates look SO delicious, and I’m a big fan for cocoa (and anything, really, chocolate).

I HATE snakes. If that had been in our back yard, our dog Riley would have had a fit and wanted to attack, but I probably would have ran away to hide.

I like the pictures you take, they’re always very cool and professional looking.

Those macarons look tasty. I’ve never tried a macaron. Are they hard to make? I should try to make some one time, just to try them out.

That was the most adorable puppy ever! Was it for sale?! I need to fly over there just to buy one. I want a pomeranian, but there aren’t really any pet stores over here :P Plus, it probably wouldn’t be best with an overprotective dog and a super-scaredy cat.

    Thanks for posting.

    • I’m so glad you liked it! Come to Melbourne, there is always something fun going on here! I was so scared of the snake too *_* Macarons are quite hard to ake, it’s really easy to do but you have to be so precise about the oven temperature that it is very difficult :( I think it’s fun though! The puppy was for sale, I wanted to take him home but we aren’t allowed pets!

  8. That puppy cake is too cute!

The drink that you say is your current favorite, what is it? Is it by chance rose flavored? Because I’m always looking for a new something or other that’s rose flavored.

    • I know! It’s adorable, I really want one :D Oh the drink is definitely rose flavored, it’s so insanely sweet I can only have a bit at a time. It’s like the definition of “pink” as a flavor. I’ve only recently discovered rose but I love it!

  9. That cake is too cute to eat!

All of these pictures are adorable. You looked like you had a lot of fun in Brisbane.

I would be horrified to find a snake outside my window.

    • We really did have fun! The snake was terrifying, worse is having a boyfriend that is determined to have a snake as a pet *_*

  10. I love random pictures ^^ Hoping for more!
    Those macarons look good!
hihi I made the same chocolate chip pancakes for my mother, didn’t look as good as James his though.

    • Yay I will start doing this once a week :D Mmm chocochip pancakes are awesome, I bet yours were yummy!

  11. I love all those photos! I <3 photo post!

I NEVER knew you could get a family pack at McDonalds! Maybe we don't get those in the US

    Samantha

    • Yay ok more photo posts! They’ve only just brought out the McDonalds family packs here in Aus, they are like $20-30 and you get enough for 4 people. McDonalds is trying to be more family friendly with healthy things, I miss the old days!

  12. OH MY GOD ROSE TEA? IS THAT CORRECT? If so I need to try that ;___; I’ve tried korean rose gum and it’s just so delicious! I have a drawing for you that I need to ink (wohoo time, who has time these days) and color~

    • I’m not sure if it’s actually tea or not but it’s so yummy.. tastes very pink. Oh you have a drawing for me? That’s so cute!! Don’t rush yourself, I can’t wait to see it ^_^

  13. Pictures never boring!
I love to see the many places u visit, always dressed soo cuute! :3

  14. OMG YOUR FAVORITE DRINK IS ALSO MY FAVORITE DRINK! I practically lived off of that same exact rose tea while in Taiwan. Oh how I do miss it extremely! It is nowhere to be found around where I live ]:

    -Coco<3

    • Omg really?!? That’s awesome!! It’s so hard to get here now, I asked at the store and apparently the supplier has had problems filling orders lately *_* I hope they don’t go out of business! I’ve got one bottle left in the fridge and I’m saving it just in case XD

      • aww I haven’t had it since last May and as far as I know, it’s impossible to even find it around where I live ]: If I were you, I’d hoard the shit out of that bottle! haha

        • Hah! I think it went out of production for a while but every now and then I find a stash of them at the store :D

  15. Jes

Yay a photo without makeup! And I was right! You are still a pretty lady.
That pink drink looks interesting? It has a picture of a rose on the bottle, so does that mean its made with rose water? Mmmm :)

    • Aww thanks Jes ^_^ The pink drink is delicious, yep it’s rose flavoured and it’s veeeery sweet!

  16. Your life is so beautiful! The macaroons look amazing, I bet they taste amazing too.

    • Oh they were so yummy, I love Bueno is any form but especially in macarons! Thanks Rosie ^_^

  17. Erika

Please please share your macaron recipe, I’ve been dying to attempt making them.
You look adorable with and without make up, you remind me of those cute little 1920s silent film actress.

    • Hey Erika! I did a post with the recipe I use a while ago, if you check the “Tutorials” page it’s about half way down ^_^ I’ve tweaked the recipe now that we have a different oven though because it’s so unpredictable! And thank you so much for your compliment about me without make up, it’s such a lovely compliment!

  18. I love random photos like these! I’m so glad you’re having so much fun! That snake looks scary! What sort is it?

    • James thinks the snake was a green snake but I’m not convinced because it had such different markings! Yay for photos!

  19. Taryn

OMG Bueno flavoured macarons?!?! How did you make those ones? Recipe? Please please, I’ve made macarons from your recipe and they turned our wonderfully!

    • Yep, they are my new signature dish :D The recipe is the basic chocolate macaron shells with a Bueno ganash, I’ll have to post a proper tutorial one of these days ^_^

  20. Love random photos^^ gives a lovely respite and a look into your life which is wonderful as expected <3

  21. Lee

There’s nothing weird about taking photos of puppies in pet stores! The majority of my photos are of puppies, kittens, baby rabbits and baby guinea pigs from pet stores, dogs in parks, cats in alleys, birds in trees… :)

  22. Jaede

I loved seeing your random photo’s. What a great idea! I also take photo’s of fluffy animals who I don’t “know” they are just so darn cute. Oh wow the size of that glass with the hot chocolate, now thats what I call a drink. I really should try out your macaroon recipe. Now that family pack from Mc Donalds ……….. that had me running and screaming …………hehe…………..

    • Oh yay I’m glad! Haha I can’t stop taking photos of animals, we went to a friend’s house yesterday who had 2 great big white fluffy cats… soooo many photos! :D

  23. I love post like these! You should them them on a weekly basis! :)
omg the snake!! i’d be screaming my head off if i were you!

This website you made is just adorable. I love all the cute things you can make, and I want to try making them too! I have three nieces, aged 3, 5 and 6. They are adorable, I wanted to make the snowball yarn pom pom hair ties for them, cos I know they’d look darling with them on.

By the way, I’m going to Japan end of this year, which means it’ll be during Winter. I live in Aus as well so will be a bit of a shock to me! XD
I was wondering, what kind of outfits should I put together for Japan in Winter? I want to be warm but I also don’t want to end up the shape of a potato from heaps of layers XD How would I stay warm whilst still looking cool and cute?

    • Thank you very much Yue! I’m very glad you’re enjoying my site! If you’re going for winter in Japan I would definitely pack a lot of layers and a good heavy jacket. I always look for jackets with a fitted waist so they look stylish as well as warm. If you need outfit ideas check out universal-doll.com Mitsu lives in Japan and she has fantastic fashion sense :D Good luck, I hope you have a great trip!

      • Yue

That sounds good. I need to buy a snow jacket for Japan so I’ll have to be specific about the fit hehe :)
Thank you Violet, I’ll have a look on Mitsu’s site for some good ideas ^_^
Thanks, I’m sure we will have a great trip!
