Art Friday! Trip to Melbourne
Oh wow it’s Friday already?! This week has just flown by! This is a drawing I did a little while back, nothing special just some practicing ^_^
I’m a little swamped with work today but this weekend I’m going to be shooting the photos for a whole bunch of new posts. And even more exciting news is that next Thursday James and I will be flying to Melbourne for a week! I’ll try to update while I’m away but I might just schedule a couple of posts just in case!
We’ve been thinking of moving to Melbourne for a while so we’re taking the chance to catch up with lots of old friends and check out the city a bit. If you’re in Melbourne and want to catch up drop me a line! Or if you have any suggestions to were we should go and check out or any “can’t miss” shops let me know!
I’m really looking forward to a week of hanging out with lovely people in Melbourne and taking a little bit of a break!

Wow the crinoline is so nice of that. Lovely! I’m partial to Melbourne only because of the Aussie Open. It looks lovely in aerials though <3
It’s much bigger than where we live at the moment (Brisbane) and there are a lot of creative opportunities so fingers crossed it goes well :D Also yay for crinolines!
Gorgeous pic. I definitely recommend you move to Melbourne! As a former ‘small town gal’….grew up in the country then lived in Hobart for a while (which isn’t really a city), moving to Melbourne was the best thing I did! For my career and my relationships.
Anyways – can’t wait to meet you next week! I am trying to convince my boyfriend to come along also. I am sure he would get on with James because he is a photographer and likes old cars hehe so they would have plenty to talk about.
I so can’t wait to meet you too! Haha your boyfriend and James sound like they would get a long like a house on fire! I spent the first part of my life here then moved up north to Townsville for 10 years then back again. I’m really a big city girl so I’m really looking forward to Melbourne!

You’d love Degraves Street in the city, Greville St in Prahran (Fluevog shoes, hooray).
Restaurant wise, I’m not sure what your tastes are but, if you can, the one place I think is a must visit is Barbagallo ( http://www.theage.com.au/news/entertainment/epicure/restaurant-review/barbagallo-trattoria-e-pizzeria/2009/12/21/1261243843455.html )
I eat here at least once a week. The Gnocchi Gorgonzola is to die for. They wrap the gorgonzola INTO the gnochhi. And the Cassata is served on a vintage green and gold plate. It’s pure heaven.

Dear Violet: Your style is so awesome and cute, I love this site. I am from Pakistan and now living in Canada…NOBODY in either of these places wears clothes and hair like this, so I find it very intriguing and unique.
