Day 2- Review/Tutorial for 1000 Hour Individual Eyelashes

Dec 8, 2009 by

Quite a while ago I was sent a bunch of 1000 hour individual eyelashes to test out:

To be honest I wasn’t really thrilled about the idea of individual lashes, it sounded like an awful lot of unnecessary effort to me. I mean who really wants to apply full eyelid’s worth lash by lash? Who has time for that either? It wasn’t until I did a bit of a rethink and took some inspiration from the lovely SuperKawaiiMama that I got some inspiration.

great review!!! and it looks much better than when i try.

    • Thank you! Oh it’s just takes a bit of practice, if you can’t get them in the right spots try some tweezers for application :D Good luck!

cool! i never understood how to use false lashies all these while.. thx for the tutorial! :D

    • No worries :D I’ll do a tutorial on the full lashes one day too ^_^ It takes some practice but they look cute!

  3. Wow! That looks so natural, yet so effective! Between reading your blog and SKM’s, I keep swearing one day I will give the falsies a go. Whereabouts do you buy that allergy-free glue?

    • That’s why I love these little ones, they actually look natural and they’re not completely in you face. Don’t get me wrong I’ll never give up the others but these are awesome for days when you just can’t be bothered XD I thought that you could only get the allergy free glue at a tiny make up store on the Gold Coast but the other day I saw it at a random Chemist so I’d suggest checking Chemists. It comes in a little black box with white writing. I’ll let you know if I find it anywhere else! If not I’d be happy to do a shopping service thing for you and mail you some :) Btw I just got asked to try out some paraben free moisturizer so I’ll let you know how that goes too!

  4. Hi Violet! Thank you so much for Blingy Bill, he’s super cute!

Wow Violet I really like these false eyelashes. They look so natural. Thank you for the review. I bought a full pair many months ago but have no idea how to put them on. I’ll give it a try during the holidays;)

    • No worries ^_^ These little ones are great when you want a more natural look. If you like I’ll do a tutorial on how to apply a full set as well, they can be pretty tricky! :)

  6. super kawaii look ^^

your a lil’ ugly to pull an asian look..sorry but that’s the truth
oh n’ don’t worry i ain’t actually ugly like you coz i’m one of those cute ulzzang girls n’ yes IAM asian (Korean) ^-^

    • Hi “Kate/Leen/QiQi/Amber/Kathy/Linn”!
Thanks for commenting so many times! As the email address you used for each of your comments is the same, you all posted from the same IP address and have the same grammar/spelling issues I’m going to go ahead and make a small leap and say you are probably the same person. As such I will be copy-pasting this reply to each of the comments you have left here.

Generally speaking I really appreciate feedback on my website and things that I am doing, in this case let me address some of the issues you have mentioned…

OMG stop being asian u wannabe-
You couldn’t be more wrong on this one. I most definitely do not want to be Asian. I am 100% happy with the way that I look and while I admire other nationalities, the sense of culture they inspire, the products they create and the different things available to them, I am also 100% happy with being a caucasian Australian. I am personally inspired by the trips I have taken to both Singapore and Japan but equally so I am inspired by the trips I have taken to Europe and the UK. As James is a large influence in my life, his love of American 50′s kitsch and rockabilly is very influential in my style choices.

u look 40 y/o dressed as a little girl LMAO! only asians can pull this look or other caucasian girls who r prettier than u
Indeed there are thousands of girls who are prettier than me in the world. I personally couldn’t care less. The second you start measuring yourself against other people is the second you doom yourself to a life of unhappiness. I cannot change the way that I look and if I look older than I am there is not very much I can do about that. We play the cards we are dealt with, that’s life. As such I work with the canvas I am given and do my best with the limited resources I have. I don’t care what other girls look like… I’m not aiming for any one specific fashion or look… I’m just aiming to be me. There isn’t anyone in the world who can be me better than I can.

This all seems to bother you a lot more than it does me so perhaps you should exercise your right not to visit my website if you find me so unappealing?

I should let you know that I have your IP address so if you feel the need to be this hateful at anything in the future please be sure to stay within the bounds of the law. As I understand it cyber bullying is taken quite seriously in the country we both live in.You have the right to your opinion but I also have the right not to feel threatened or uncomfortable on my own website. I thought about blocking you from accessing my blog but by clicking here as often as you do (yes I can track that) and lingering around the place you are actually contributing to my statistics and income from advertising revenue. Thanks for that, I really appreciate it :D

I think you might want to look at whether commenting this many times is a constructive way to get your message across or just a way to kill time for you. If it is the latter then I can think of many ways in which you could spend your time better. Please try anything from the following list of suggestions:
      -Volunteering for a charity
-Finding a hobby, for example model air craft building
      -Reading a book
-Continuing your studies, possibly concentrating on spelling and grammar
-Working on your own look or looking at the kind of person you are on the inside rather than focusing on those around you

Again I appreciate you taking the time to leave so many comments for me, I hope you find something to help you with whatever it is you are looking for. Have a great day!

      <3 Violet

To Violet: wow you repeat from what you said before (like the one from the shower cap tutorial) just because you’re pathetic at dissing or back-talking to the other girls or you don’t know what else to say to them LOL it sux to be you :) and it’s funny that you pretend not to get upset at this too xD i bet you cry in the corner of your bedroom holding your stuff toys like a 5 year old..GROW UP BITCH!

  9. Momo

Cool. I always wondered about this kind, but i’m probably never going to use them. I’m a dramatic girl, and I love the big demi lashes I already have.
