Sylvanian Families

I love Sylvanian Families.
Ok I know this is fairly childish but sometimes I like to play with toys. Oh come on you have to admit that being a kid was pretty fun!
These are some toys I got in Japan, the rabbit (named Ichigo) was from a series called “Sylvanian Families” that I had a lot of when I was a child. I thought they had stopped making them but apparently not! Everything else came our of a vending machine somewhere in Akihabara.

I love the crazy detailing on everything, I mean even the sandwiches have the fillings painted on the side.

So do you guys like anything silly and childish like this or am I just a bit silly? Personally I think that sometimes when the rest of life is stressful it’s nice to have something simple.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not playing with these guys every night in my mum’s basement but I do watch Judge Judy after work to unwind!
What do you guys do to relax? Do you collect dolls, toys or Sylvanian Families?

Well I'm currently watching an 11 episode Japanese drama with a plot similar to Notting Hill. (Famous superstar meets an ordinary man)
Awww Kawaii! I used to have these growing up too! I was so surprised when I found them in Japan and have been tracking them down here in Melbourne too. I've found them in the more expensive boutique toy stores.
For relaxing I am a bit of a Sci Fi and crime geek. Star Gate SG1 and NCIS amongst the favs. Even more geeky is relaxing by re-organising and cleaning. Today I made some new little vignettes in my china cabinet.
Sigmate- I would LOVE a miniature tea set! Then again I think I would get sick of imaginary tea and demand a people sized set! In this set, it's got a little tea pot with cups and removable clear chunks of black tea XD Japanese Notting Hill sounds awesome!

Heehee very kawaii! Oh you found them here too? I used to have heaps of them when I was little but most of them disappeared while moving house so often. I almost screamed in the middle of the toy store when I found this little rabbit for 250Yen!
I'm a massive SciFi/Crime girl too. Farscape is my fav, I'm still trying to convince James to watch SG1. I used to looove NCIS but I was so sad when Kate left, Ziva never quite got the right chemistry. XD Relaxing by cleaning? You need to come relax at my house!
